As of May 4, 2020, all Steba workers and management are back up and running at their headquarters in Arcore (MB).
L’latest DPCM made official the reopening of many activities, including our packaging.

Steba has been able to resume service in full compliance with safety protocols to ensure the health of customers and all those who work and collaborate with the company.
The recovery is gradual, but we are working hard to meet the huge demand for sanitizing packaging that has been characterizing the market in recent months.

But how did we deal with the emergency?

Steba and how it dealt with the health emergency: phase 1

Demand for sanitized packaging was very high in mid-March, mainly due to the virulence and rapid spread of the virus.

In this situation of emergency and high demand for disinfectant containers, the painful decision of the entire Steba family to temporarily close down was contextualized.
As we have communicated to our customers, on the website, via email and on all social platforms, the decision was made reluctantly despite the fact that the first decree did not include any binding instructions.
The company’s management was faced with the question of whether or not to continue with the business during the sudden spread of the virus.

But our business is constantly confronted with many external collaborators.
In addition, our warehouse is the center of continuous management and distribution activities.
There we store products and make them available for sorting, shipping and final delivery.

There were many aspects to be evaluated, but our workers would not be protected at that time and consequently so would their families. Hence the evaluation of temporarily closing the offices and warehouse.

The DPCM of March 22 then also officially suspended production activities (in addition to professional activities).
Unfortunately, the contagions and the number of victims reached such high figures that almost all companies, including Steba, were affected by the lockdown, which from Lombardy then involved the whole of Italy.

During the days of the shutdown, management remained remotely available to respond to all requests, waiting to be organized and handled.
At the same time, we took steps to put in place all measures to ensure a safe recovery.

Steba and the reopening: phase 2

Steba was able to reopen on Monday, May 4, 2020 in compliance with all the protocols the company developed during the closure.

  • Organization of spaces in a way that ensures social distancing
  • Arrangement of signage to indicate access and exit routes
  • Mounting plexiglass screens as dividers between desks and as a protective screen in the entrance hall

Not only that, we provided the rooms with ionizers and air purifiers.
Then we ensured the availability of masks for employees, disposable gloves, and sanitizing gel dispensers at the entrance.

Like all Italians, we are gradually organizing ourselves to face a new workday.

We are proud that indirectly, through our packaging and choices, our work can also contribute to your safety.
