@ Valentina Santoro
Steba is pleased to announce the putting on the road of the non-profit PizzAut food truck.
This is one of those pieces of news that is nice to be able to deliver, especially after a dark period, which was the spread of Covid with all its ominous consequences.
Media and newspapers also gladly devoted space to the story of the new chapter in PizzAut’s story.
For example, “Republic,” read the in-depth article here: “Pizzeria run by autistic kids becomes itinerant.”
For our part, Steba has always been involved in social work, and we are proud to have supported PizzAut’s new take on the dream project.

Pizzaut resumes its journey
PizzAut is a unique reality, an association with a project to start a space of social inclusion.
The goal is to be able to integrate autistic kids into daily work through an activity such as a pizzeria.
The first brick of the first PizzAut titled pizzeria, in Cassina de’ Pecchi, was laid in 2019.
It was scheduled to open on April 2, 2020 (“World Autism Awareness Day”). Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus lockdown, the date was postponed.
From this “difficulty” the idea of the food truck was born.

So, thanks to a fundraiser in which Steba enthusiastically participated, the special kids at PizzAut were able to buy the van in which the staff will be able to churn out pizzas around town.
Yes, a PizzAutoBus with which to feed inclusion on the go.
In the end, we also had the honor of seeing our Steba logo affixed to the PizzAutoBus around the cities.
In short, the purpose of it all is well summed up with the beautiful phrase that can be read on the PizzAut Inclusion Bus: “value to skills.”

Steba and PizzAut, a historic friendship
Steba and PizzAut have always been linked by a relationship of friendship and esteem. A friendship with the people who started this project and with the boys themselves, who from the very beginning involved us in their pizza and inclusion nights.
We have been supporting PizzAut since 2018, when the project was born with the first goal of opening a real restaurant. Until now, PizzAut’s friends were itinerant and hosted from time to time by other restaurants, village festivals, events.
We who have participated in the evenings and fundraisers since the beginning, a few months ago saw the dream finally close. But nothing is lost. The pandemic has only postponed the PizzAut restaurant party. Even the enthusiasm and desire to keep working have increased and the boys have not been demoralized.
In fact, they have found a new goal that Steba wanted to participate in again with admiration for their fortitude.

Steba and commitment to social work
Steba is socially connected and driven by a genuine interest in responsibility.
So we are happy to contribute to some of the success of non-profit organizations, including the PizzAut Project.
But that’s not all. Our work leads us on a daily basis to have to make choices that impact the alternatives available to consumers. It is in this vein that we wanted to do more to also participate in the challenge to be environmentally friendly.
In fact, on the one hand we are increasingly investing in bio-packaging.
On the other hand, we believe in the importance of educate our customers to sustainability, not in a presumptuous but involved way.
In general, as already reported in the4/4 interview to Steba management, Stefania Incerti Baldi says, “I believe that ‘being there’ is very important for change.
In fact, we advocate that companies should be involved in improving society by openly expressing their commitment and responsibility.
These ethical and sustainable business choices are channeled by us in trying to live out environmental and social principles, such as diversity, inclusion and transparency, in all our choices.
Steba accompanied PizzAut in Rome
We are happy and proud to add an update to this 4-wheeled adventure of PizzAut.
On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, we accompanied the boys to Rome.
The boys of PizzAut did, in fact, stop with their food truck, the PizzAutoBus, in front of the Parliament. The goal was to raise awareness among our politicians about the bill onemployment inclusion of people with autism and disabilities.
The entire PizzAut team worked to get people to taste their tasty pizzas, and among the many customers…Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte also showed up.
He was offered a special pizza, the Dpcm, which the premier received with great irony and sympathy.
It was another profound emotion to accompany all the children on this great adventure involving them personally in such an important event.
And we at Steba are really thrilled and excited to see how much their commitment, passion, and participation are accompanying them over the years.
